Once upon a time...

www.hotroostersauce.com
Once upon a time there was a moose, an eagle, a camel and a panda bear.

This moose was used to roaming the northern tundra, the eagle liked to soar above the canyons, the camel liked the feel of sandy dunes under his padded feet and the panda bear felt mostly happy chewing on his bamboo in the foothills. They all found that something was missing though; it turns out grass is pretty bland, and catching mice is not all it’s cracked up to be,  sand isn’t a good condiment and bamboo is very chewy.

Luckily, each of them had internet access and despite the long distances that separated them, soon they each received a bottle of de Mars’s Rooster Sauce in the mail! Grass grazing became a delicious spicy salad for the moose, the eagle was motivated to catch mice and gophers again since he knew they could be made much more palatable with 'Rooster Sauce', the camel could tolerate the crunch of sand in his food since the thick consistency and pleasant hot bite added just the right flavor and the panda bear got in the habit of dipping his bamboo into a dish of 'Rooster Sauce' and soon all the pandas tasted the unique sauce and decided to get some too. No matter where you are in the world, there are many of you who are looking for a new hot sauce, a different hot sauce, a healthy and safe (no scary preservatives) hot sauce and above all, a fun hot sauce! The Rooster Crew wants you to know that we can get our delicious de Mars’s Rooster Sauce to you no matter where you are – just order online!

The view is satisfying your eyes, but you can sense hunger trying to interrupt your perfect day. You begin the search for somewhere to eat.  You run through a checklist of must-haves for your perfect lunch as a breeze infused with the scent of fresh cut grass moves through your hair, cleansing your mental palette; You know what you want. In your daydream you see yourself smoothly navigate a few blocks and shortly you find yourself sitting with a fresh and artfully concocted meal before you.  There is one more thing, the food is fabulous, but a little something extra makes this meal worth dreaming about, there's a most complimentary hot sauce at your fingertips. Once you've tasted it, you realize this must be your imagination....could this really be possible?

Running like Roosters!

May is coming to a close and we here at de Mars’s Rooster Sauce have our sights set on the long days of summer.  As we wrapped up this month two of our VIP ran the Capitol City Half Marathon in Olympia just a few short days ago in an effort to stay healthy and participate in community events. After hoofing it in the rain for about an hour and a half our competitors were happy for the tasty heat provided by Rooster Sauce after they recovered from their race. In further news, de Mars’s Rooster Sauce was featured in the Olympia Power and Light issue as a new local business – it was great to get to share a bit more with readers about our business and products.

Onward and upward! June is nearly here and since it’s the month with the longest daylight hours (at least in the northern hemisphere) we are planning on making the most of it. You may have seen some of our demonstrations in local stores offering up a taste of Rooster Sauce to shoppers –we want to meet you! Stop for a sample and stay for a chat.  Father’s day is coming up and if you want to impress the socks off him, drag out that barbeque and cook him up something with a dash of Rooster Sauce. He’ll be so amazed at your culinary skill you’ll probably be in his good books for the year. Or maybe you’re planning your first camping trip soon and will be roasting something over your rustic fire-pit, in that case a little de Mars’s Rooster Sauce goes a long way to spice up that hot dog.

We are all ready to make it a ‘Cluckin Awesome’ summer and we want to invite you to be a part of it. After all –how hot is it? That depends on you.

Eat Rooster Sauce and Walk and Art

Of all the species that walked down the streets of Olympia this past weekend during Arts Walk 2012 we are most fond of the rooster of course—especially because of his superior banjo playing skills; the de Mars’s Rooster Sauce crew enjoyed a very successful and exciting weekend showcasing and sharing everything there is to know about our delightful hot sauce.  We met a lot of great people who took the time to visit our booth and enjoyed a taste for themselves.

A very special thank you to all our supportive, enthusiastic, hardworking and knowledgeable staff!  With their help we have now been able to share de Mars’s Rooster Sauce with a whole new crowd of people who will hopefully go on to share the sauce with others who will soon be saying “It’s Cluckin’ Awesome!”  Check out some scenes from the big event:

Or this video says it all:

There is no rest for the crew though, every day we are working hard to satisfy our customers and get the word out.  If you like de Mars’s Rooster Sauce tell your friends and family!

Got Eggs?

You may have spent some time this past weekend hunting for pastel coloured eggs, but here’s a better idea...why not just order some Rooster Sauce online and have it show up at your door instead—you can order from our website of course, but you can also find us at Amazon.com—so even if that book you buy turns out to be a bit boring, your food won’t be as long as you remember to pick up some Rooster Sauce.

It’s also been hectic organizing our busy schedule of appearances this summer, and we’ve all been working out so we look good in our snazzy Rooster Sauce booth.  We will be keeping it hot at a wide variety of sporting events and music festivals. There will be plenty of excitement, prizes, entertainment and giveaways; we want everyone who discovers Rooster Sauce this summer to have a great time when they do.

Speaking of discovery (and eggs), they may have an ongoing debate about what came first – the chicken or the egg—but what about what you put ON the egg or the chicken?

You know the crew here at Rooster Sauce has an answer for you, and there’s no debate about it.  Furthermore, if you’re still looking for inspiration about how to use and cook with Rooster Sauce, here’s another great recipe idea that comes straight from our "Seven Days of Rooster Sauce" e-cookbook:

We'd also be delighted to hear from you about how you use Rooster
Sauce; post on our facebook page or comment here!

No April Fools in this business...

Well Rooster Sauce has had another exciting couple of weeks. As you will see in our photo a couple of bottles made it to the top of Whistler mountain in B.C Canada. A big shout out to Sean who took the photo and who was excited to be rewarded with the very bottle of Rooster Sauce he helped make famous.
In news a little closer to home, if you're looking to try Rooster Sauce on some of your favorite dishes without having to cook, just head over to McMenamins Queen Anne in Seattle; they are now stocked with sauce - here is their site: McMenamins
We suggest you try it on their fabulously delicious Blacksmith Steak Sandwich ($15.25) with mesquite steak, smoked mozzarella, frizzled onions, chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, rustic French roll and de Mars's Rooster Sauce (free!)

If you find yourself at home tonight however, remember, Rooster Sauce is a very versatile condiment. There is nothing holding you back, no rules, no regulations that say you can't just pour some into your stir-fry tonight, or dip your pizza slice into it, or make that baked potato you're about to eat truly turn into a 'hot' potato - forgive the pun - but don't forget about the Rooster Sauce.
